We´re pleased to be able to offer the KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center as a valuable source of information and services to professional labs. Below are several frequently asked questions; if you have questions not answered here, your Kodak sales representative will be glad to help.
What is the KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center and what's the process for joining?
The KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center is a global service-based program that provides marketing support, business services, and workflow and technical support to labs that serve the professional imaging market. We will now house our services within the KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center to make them easier to access, and allow Kodak the facility to more broadly communicate the services of KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center Premium members to potential target customers. Other programs and services are new initiatives that can deliver additional value to pro labs and the customers they serve. The KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center provides an effective avenue for pro labs to showcase the scope and uniqueness of their offerings to their customers.
Labs can join via the Web themselves or with the assistance of their Kodak sales representative. To get started, sign up for a Site I.D.
Does it cost anything to join the KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center?
Standard Membership is free, however there are some costs associated with the workflow and technical support services. The prices are published in the KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center Web site and are also available via your Kodak representative.
What is the Pro Lab Locator?
The Pro Lab Locator is an easy-to-search database that will help potential customers find and learn about the services your lab offers. All labs that meet minimum accreditation criteria will become KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center Premium members and will be able to participate in the Locator. Once your lab's information is in the Locator, you'll be categorized by the various products and services offered using KODAK media, and by a range of other categories, such as location. Photographers, studios, or other specifiers of KODAK Pro Lab services can access these categories by topics and/or geography to determine the lab that best matches their specific needs. For example, a studio looking for a lab that offers printing on KODAK PROFESSIONAL ENDURA Papers would be able to select the lab closest to it by searching for this criteria.
What are some of the other services that labs can access?
Marketing Support: In addition to the Pro Lab Locator, as the program expands other marketing tools will be provided to help pro labs continue to differentiate themselves from other forms of obtaining output services. These will include direct marketing tools, PR resources, and guidelines and opportunities to benefit directly from KODAK promotions.
Workflow and Technical Support: Within the KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center, member labs can access a range of existing services such as software downloads and upgrades, color profile building, and workflow advice. Kodak will continue to add new services to help pro labs better serve their customers.
Business Support: Pro labs will be able to access valuable business research, market trend reports, and other business-building services.
Will member labs have increased access to Kodak expertise?
Our goal is to provide the best blend of hands-on and real-time access to key information. KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center Premium members will receive a high level of personal support, in addition to 24/7 access to key content via the KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center. The KODAK Pro Lab Resource Center staff will be there for you with a deep understanding of, and expertise in, the pro lab market. Accessed by phone or online, these resources are available during critical business hours.
