Process Monitoring Services
Process Monitoring Services can be ordered by pro labs online only. The service is charged on an annual basis. There are no restrictions on manufacturer chemicals but Kodak control strips must be used.

KODAK Process Monitoring Services

KODAK Process Monitoring Services are Web-based technical tools that evaluate your lab's film and/or paper-process chemistry by using control strips E-6, C-41, and Pro Strips RA-4. Process consistency lets you offer your customers high-quality processing every day and helps you to adjust any processing parameters before they affect film or print quality. In addition, any data is instantly available at KODAK Pro Lab Resource Centers around the world, allowing effective support for out-of-control situations.

This service provides a range of significant features for your daily process control. The Web-based application accepts RGB density readings from a densitometer, compares those values to a "known" standard, and indicates to you the current state of the process.

Labs will get access to all KODAK Film and Paper color process-monitoring options:
  • E-6 Color Reversal Film Processing
  • C-41 Color Negative Film Processing
  • RA-4 Color Negative Paper Processing

Requirements
To take advantage of the KODAK Process Monitoring Service, your lab must be equipped with:
  • A computer and operating system that supports INTERNET EXPLORER v5.5 or later with appropriate data ports to connect to a densitometer.
  • A densitometer that can read single point, RGB values from an exposed and processed film or paper strip with standard status filters and RS 232 interface, e.g., X-rite, Macbeth, Barbieri.
